One of the things I like about the MG bags are that they arrive to me in a somewhat "imperfect" condition. Not giant problems--like some people have had with their bags--but little streaks here and there. I feel like I can start using them immediately and not baby them. I have had a couple of other bag phases--notably Chloe and Mulberry. Some of those bags are like works of art, to the point that I would never feel comfortable actually carrying them. I have ended up selling several that I never used. The time never felt right. MG's are ready to get out in the messy world with me!

Great post! Yes we do baby some of our bags:)
Hopefully these bags will last for years.
I have a few in my closet that I've never worn or just worn once because I felt they were too nice or dressy....I need to rotate:))

Fully agree, I feel the same way too. Knowing that the bag will patina / gain more marks with use makes me less concerned about those marks that are already there. I feel like it is going to change anyway, and is not going to look pristine regardless of how much it is babied.
