The story behind
Sebastian Münster was a cartographer, historian, astronomer, mathematician and scholar of Hebrew. His work, Cosmographia Universalis, was first published in Germany in 1544 and became one of the most widely-read books of the 16th century. When Jan Bajtlik discovered an original edition of the book in a library in Poland, he was fascinated by its vision of a world made up of myths and legends. His scarf depicts an imaginary landscape that combines architecture with fauna and flora. Taking the seahorses, sea monsters and pyramids of the Cosmographia as his models, he creates a dreamlike world teeming with extraordinary beasts.

Someone is not doing a very good job at organizing the pictures. :lecture:

Wrong mod pic for the wrong design. Also notice the REALLY bad Photoshop? The bolduc is missing the solid border.

Thanks for sharing the new Cosmographia cws!
I'm a bit torn: both me and my SA will be on trips soon. Should I get it duty free while it's available or should I wait till both of us return in two weeks?

Congrats BagsRGreat! That’s my cw for second one too. However I’m under strict orders to STAY on ban island until after my birthday. So I’ll keep fingers crossed DH gets it before it sells out. Any mod shots in your future for us?:P
@DrTr , I will most certainly post mod shots as soon as I receive this one. I think it is going to arrive tomorrow, which will be wonderful.

And I caught a fleeting glimpse of a losange - sorry, forgot to record the info for it - mea culpa - FOUETS ET BADINES EN PATCH losange CS Medium
There were no model photos for me to divine whether this is 2019AW or 2019SS, sorry if I am behind the times
I was distracted reading the story which told me EVER SO HELPFULLY that the losange F et B EN PATCH is derived from the F et B PATCH scarf design - which I did not know even existed
...
Miracles happen , I found it and yes it is 2019AW H473450S 01
...
There must be a F et B PATCH scarf design somewhere ...

@LadyCupid , I think there is one more colorway for Cosmographia which has lavender, yellow, orange, red and purple in it, as it was pictured in the image on page 34 post #503 (the 3rd one from the left). I love that very interesting colorway, too, so I hope it shows up at some time in the future.

Good catch. I guess I will have to add this up when the CW shows up. Thank you for letting me know.
