I own the Macbook version in black. I did the comparison between the two. First of all the Macbook version comes with a middle compartment and a zip to hold a Macbook computer and has a side pocket for an ipad. The leather on the macbook version is a little thicker and the straps are thicker as well, I guess to support the weight of electronic devices. The leather on the regular tote feels thinner and is floppier. All in all, the Macbook bag feels a lot sturdier and seems to hold its shape a little better but it is also heavier than the regular version of this tote. Hope this helps !
