I actually just use it as a proper wallet and was just playing dress up with the twilly. 
I imagine though that using a twilly would be similar to using a Farandole necklace...just make sure the wallet is securely fastened. And I would get a good knot on the twilly if it is to be used as a strap.
2 months ago. The jeweller said the colour will fade gradually when it is in contact with skin for a prolonged period of time . Since I only use it occasionally and it is only in contact with skin when I sling it, according to her , the colour should be able to last for years.I just tried my local jeweler and they won’t do it.I’ll have to try another place. How long since you had it plated? Did it wear off at all?
I use it with one of those thin belts with a very small buckle, in the exact same color. It’s so perfect you wouldn’t believe it. Looks like a bag actually. A belt or even a longer bracelet (like a triple Hapi) works well. The leather is less prone to imprinting than the metal of the farandole.

I actually do use it as a belt too, just because the size happens to work well for me, however my main concern was the look of the wallet on my shoulder, and it’s good that we have many sizes to choose from!Brilliant idea!! Never been a fan of compact wallets until I purchased my Constance one! Took 6 months to start using bc I thought I could only use a long wallet. Here’s her debut photo . Presenting Madame Constance Compact; Black Epsom w/ RGHW.
Even thought the Constance compact is larger than most compacts, IMO it is too small to try to use as a crossbody. But I have never even tried to use my long one as a crossbody. Not a fan.
Yeah thats kind of how I felt too. I just think its so cute and wish it could have more outside "playtime"
