thanks pink caviar! i emailed a wonderful SA and she said that the scratches and cracks are meant to be part of the leather? i guess my question is, is this below or outside of the glaze?

And I guess any distressing of the leather will be below the glaze which is suppose to seal it off. I'm not sure if they'll appear above it, but from what I can see there's no cracks just yet! ;D
And I would recommand Christine from Holt Renfrew in Vancouver. This was my first Chanel item and she was very patient and helpful. She actually ordered my wallet from another store (out of the Province) because there was a blemish on the first one and I had the option choosing between the two.
