The Blue Monogram Speedy Amazon 42202

Thanks to my quick-moving and loveable SA I was able to see the new Speedy Amazon in Blue Monogram. I had high hopes for this bag. It is a shoulder or arm carry. Hand carrying it would mean it would almost hit the grand unless you're really tall.

Certainly beautiful leather inside and out. Although the canvas monogram strips with the truncated "fleur" seems a bit awkward. The SA said the extra loop is for another bag charm. There are no feet on the bottom. Slightly smaller than a Speedy 30 at 28cm and 7" wide, it is a lovely bag, but for me, it needed more of the Blue Monogram to be worth the price.

The details with the tabs, lock and connector rings are very nice.

I'd pass it on, too! It's a bland, generic, awkward looking bag. LV must believe that anything it makes will simply fly off the shelves. Lately I'm beginning to believe they are running out of creative ideas.

I like that the monogram canvas is used so subtly in this piece. It looks very interesting visually. Also, the bag looks very detailed and sophisticated. Obviously, this is not meant to be compared to the classic Speedy: edgier and much more expensive. I look forward to seeing someone's reveal and modeling pictures.

I dont know how I feel about this bag. Part of me likes it but the other part just isnt a fan. I would love to see some mod shots of this when someone does a reveal.

I adore the subtle hints of blue monogram on the bag.

It's a beautiful piece. I loved it the moment I tried it on...very classy and well made. The only reason I didn't purchase it was I can't justify adding another black bag to my collection at this time.

That's the whole point, it's a redesign / new take on Speedy! I think it's interesting, but they are charging too much (IMHO) for the ones that are canvas.

Agree. Tried the white/brown version on and realised something is missing...handles.
I think they could have added that as it is very different to the original speedy in the design in other ways as well.
It would have been a very chic bag handheld.

For those who think it's bland ... They put the extra ring on there so you can brighten it up with a charm!! The designers don't need to be inspired when you can do it for them. And it will only cost you an extra $500.
