The best thrift consignment stores in NY?

I lived in NY for three years and never ever thought at the time to go thrift store shopping. And now everytime I go to NY my time is always accounted for to the minute. Last time i was there i had a day free, but it was jewelery shopping and more jewelery shopping.

I go back on may 13th and have all day thursday and friday to shop!!! I will be staying at my aunts in queens for half the time, and in brooklyn near my old apartment (on the 2 and the 3 train route) the other half.

any great places to go shopping would be very much appreciated. both buiffalo exchanges are on my list, but so far nothing else!

Michaels. Lots of designer clothing, and most of it only a season old. I believe it's on Madison

If you're going to Buffalo Exchange, try Beacon's Closet, it's really close to the Williamsburg Buffalo Exchange.... similar kind of stuff but it's a pretty big store so it's worth checking out.
