IMO GUCCI SOHO DISCO. I wear it in black every day and love it so much. It holds a ton and very lightweight. It holds a compact wallet, my readers, sunglasses and odds and ends. If I need a tote on the fly I put the in Disco in my LV Neverfull.
I came here to say the same thing. When I wear my 'orange' (it's basically rust) nubuck Soho Disco it has that designer edge but very practical (even in nubuck)
I just bought in beige !! Literally wear the black everyday. I think it will have to go away soon.

Many days I carry a kind of WOC or pouch on a chain plus another bigger handheld, but like you say when you need sunnies and a few things with you but don't want/need to carry a second bag, nothing beats a Soho Disco.
I also forget to say I like the G SD because I prefer bags with a leather strap and not chains (although I do have a few bags with chains).
For me, Mulberry Alexa and LC LP Cuir Mini, depending on what I have to carry. For work, Alexa fits all I need for the day plus it looks super stylish - for play, LC is light, roomy for its size and I have it in cherry red so it looks really cute, too. LPC weighs close to nothing as well so it's really comfy to carry.
If I could fit my basic necessities in the LC, I don't think I'd carry another bag ever again...
