I also have a moka. Would you say the teddy comes close to warmth or is the moka still a lot warmer? Is the teddy still popular in nyc? I was convinced to get the teddy until the SA and some others convinced me it’s not as popular anymore but I know NYC is its own bubble in terms of style.
I think moka will be warmer. Manuela is not that warm too me but I layer with cashmere or uniqlo heattech. I'm old and always behind trends but I still see teddy in NYC, mostly camel color! Saks SA said they're supposed to be worn unbottoned, with your arm crossed over your chest to keep it closed, clutching your purse. I thought that was hilarious.

Hi, please help me! My mom recently purchased a Max Mara Ludmilla from a Belgium standalone Max Mara boutique, but later found out there is no belt loop above the white material tag on the left side (inside the coat). Is it possible that she bought a fake one, or it was an older version? The tag was also suspicious: the white material tag says IJ 44, US 10, but the cardboard hanging tag says Size/Maat: 42 and it appears to be tied by hand. Thank you!!!

Hello everyone,

I have a question for those who own the iconic Max Mara 101801 Madame coat. What has your experience been like when wearing it in the rain? Do you wear it in all weather conditions, or do you consider it more of a fair-weather coat that’s sensitive to rain?

I own a few Max Mara coats, including one made entirely of cashmere, and unfortunately, it developed stubborn, non-removable spots after being caught in the rain. I’d be really disappointed if the beautiful Madame coat were just as prone to damage.

Thanks in advance for your insights!♥️

Help!!! I bought a red Manuela from saks. It feels much lighter and thinner than my black Manuela. There is also no QR code on the inside label. Wondering if it’s a fake??

Does anyone else have a red Manuela that feels lighter and thinner?

Hi! I'm not a modshot person (shy on that front), but I can tempt you with some crazy glove & mitten photos I posted last year.

I bought the matching red Max Mara leather gloves. I also bought the white Teddy mittens (they do not come in a matching red)... I love the Teddy mittens.

You can see the red Manuela sleeves in the photo to give you an idea of the shade. The red shade looks more like the photo with the white mittens, even a bit deeper (I am terrible at taking good photos).

I agree with you... red is a neutral, especially when it comes to coats. A classic.
I say go for the red Manuela! Maybe order one, and try it on in the comfort of your home. I do think you will love it!

Is your red Manuela thin / lighter than the others? I just ordered one from Sam’s and it’s super thin and does not have a QR code on the inside label like my other Manuela’s. Wondering if it’s fake or if it’s just an older one since Red was years back?

I can't comment on this specific coat, but about a year ago, I received a poor-quality counterfeit Zimmerman dress from Saks. I immediately contacted customer service, sent photos, and was luckily able to return it for a refund. However, this made me cautious about ordering expensive items from them. A few months ago, I received a dirty, used item with Bloomingdale's tags from Saks. I returned it and noted on the return form that it was used, but they refused to refund me and sent the item back. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company, which fortunately ruled in my favor. After these experiences, I’ve decided never to order from Saks again.

View attachment 6075018Hello, I am eyeing this Max Mara coat and was wondering if someone could help me identify the style or name of it. It doesn't come with a belt.
It looks like this is a grey/silver tag on the neckline. I'm not sure when Max Mara stopped using the silver/grey tag, or if they were always different lines, but I don't see grey tags on any MaxMara products anymore. But I do think they were using the grey tags up into the 2000s (not sure about 2010s). Is there a fabric content tag with some product numbers or serial codes on it?

I went to Max Mara outlet for the first time today and came back with this coat!
I wanted something warm and this alpaca/wool/cashmere blend seem good enough.
One question: it came with spare buttons but it doesn’t have any buttons attached to close it, is it that you decide to place them where it is more convenient?
And how am I supposed to tie the little strings inside the coat?
Sorry for the stupid question but I noticed these things only at home

Are there buttons on the sleeve perhaps?
