The Garden Party bags thread

I’ve added another little POP of color to my GP family.

Rose Pourpre GP30. This color is gorgeous and so vivid!

Also showing her next to her Vert Vertigo sister. You can see the difference in slouch.....Vache Country vs. Negonda.

Thank you your response!
I’m hoping maybe one day I will find that unicorn! Lol.

Yes, best wishes! Just so curious that they don't use a structured leather more frequently for GPs!

GP30s are just so darling! Congrats on the new member of your family!

And it's like you've read my mind with your Vache Country vs Negonda comparison pic, so helpful! :flowers: I've been debating if I should just get a GP30 Negonda, or should I hold out for a more structured leather, that they may never offer again. :oh: As you have both could you note the differences you notice in the two leathers? Do you feel the Negonda will soften quite a bit? Do you use and organizer in it that provides a bit of structure...if so, do you think it will help prevent significant slouch? Any thoughts appreciated! :flowers:

Great photo for showing the difference in leathers! I wouldn't have thought that negonda was noticeably slouchy in the 30.

Thank you Etoile de Mer! These beautiful Hermes POP colors are perfect for me in the GP30 size.

When I purchased my 1st GP 36 I went with the Negonda leather. I thought (at the time) that I would love and appreciate the softer less structured leather. My tastes changed and I fell out of love with the leather (in that size). Sadly I sold her. I waited a few years and found that I missed the convenient size of the 36 and took the plunge again. I went with the Negonda leather again the 2nd time around because I LOVED the color that was available......Rouge Pimente.....gorgeous bag but unfortunately when she started to sag I fell out of love....again. I sold her and purchased the Bleu Saphir in Vache Country. I knew immediately that this was the leather that I preferred in the GP36 size. She’s been a workhorse and is still as structured as the day she came out of the box.
My little green GP 30 is Negonda leather but for some reason the less structured leather in that size “works” for me. I just purchased an organizer to fit inside. I am hoping that it will prevent the leather from slouching further. If she does continue to slouch more I do not think it will bother me like it did with the larger size though.

Although I will not buy another GP36 in Negonda leather it is a very nice leather. It ‘feels” luxurious and soft.

Thanks so much, MAGJES, I appreciate hearing your experience, really helpful! :flowers:

I keep passing on Negonda GP30s for my second one, as I’ve held out for Vache Country. But there’s just no intel if Vache Country is currently even being used. And because I’d assumed I didn’t want Negonda, I never bothered to feel the leather! I do really like the structure of Vache Country, but do admit to feeling a bit underwhelmed when I first saw it, as the leather is more matte, and dry. So, your description of Negonda as feeling luxurious and soft is really tempting me!

I may be the same as you, okay with a little bit of slouch in the 30 size, and as they are smaller, probably less prone than the 36. I just don’t want to end up with big puddle of gorgeous, but very smooshy leather after a while! I really need to see one in person to decide.

Which organizer did you buy, and do you like it? I have the 7 Rue Paradis insert for a 30 Birkin, and I’m very happy with it, it fits perfectly in my GP30.

My gp 30, Rouge Pivoine in country cowhide. It’s about the same size as my b30, which makes it a perfect everyday bag

Hey all...

Glad i found this thread. I am about to acquire a preloved garden party 36. Apparently with a T stamp.

But what i need to know before i go for authentication is, does all Hermes bag or garden party comes with HERMES PARIS MADE IN FRANCE? This piece i am acquiring has HERMES PARIS & Made in France in 2 places instead of 1.

Can someone share their thoughts?

So glad to hear, thanks so much for sharing the details! :flowers: Also nice to conclude from all this that Vache Country likely softens a bit with use. Mine is quite stiff...I struggle a bit with the snaps! Will be nice if it softens a tad...but not too much!

You are welcome!
Here’s some pics I took of the Negonda and Vache GP30s last night. The VV has been used twice and the RP has not been used yet. It’s quite a difference in structure imo.
The little organizer is one that I read about here on tpf somewhere. It’s actually from amazon and feels quite nice. Not pricey at all.

I just checked with my SA what colors are available in Vache country in GP 30 yesterday. I always thought only neutral colors comes in that leather but so many bright colors! I really encourage you to do national search on it. Negonda is matte but VC has more glossy feeling. If I get another GP, I'll get one in VC for sure.

Hello! Could you share what colors your SA noted are available in Vache Country? :flowers: Last I checked with my SA, no neutrals in Vache Country showed up in the US.
