Hi all, I haven't posted in ages! Nice to be back. Anyway, does anyone have a b-bag that does not smell like anything?? All my bags smell amazing (that wonderful, earthy leather smell) except for my 06 rouge vif City, which has no smell at all. I got so paranoid when I noticed this that I started to worry that it was a fake. But I scrutinized everything and I am convinced she is real. So why doesn't she smell good?? :confused1: I got her off of ebay and am maybe the 3rd owner so I'm wondering if maybe one of her past mommies sent her to LMB or something. Anyone else experienced this? Please do the sniff test for me and let me know!

all my bbags have come straight from balny so i know they are authentic, but only my vert and sandstone have that strong "something" smell. my black and ocean are pretty much scentless, so i wouldnt worry :yes:

lmb has a smell - the handles only smells really nice :p, but i have heard that the other lmb products are quite overwhelming. maybe the old mother used lubriderm on her? or maybe she just never smelled (like mine).

I wouldn't worry- I've noticed variations in how my leathers smell. All my 07 bags have that yummy leather smell- I LOVE it!! However, all my 05s have this weird grandma-perfume smell. At first, I thought the smell was because of the seller. But now I have four 05's that all have that same smell! It's so weird. And my 06 doesn't really have much o a smell at all.

Thanks everyone! I am relieved and reassured about my scentless rouge vif city. I do still wish she smelled leathery, though! I guess then she would be too perfect...

Ok, I am reviving this thread because I just received my new-to-me 03 Olive Brown First and the smell in seriously INTOXICATING, as the title of this thread suggests. I've had bbags that have the beautiful leather smell, new or broken in, but this oldie, it's just :tender:!!! I wonder, so all oldies smell this great?!:nuts:

I know what you mean when you say nice leather smell, all my bbags are purchased new and they do have a very nice leather smell to it...i guess it should be true for all bbags isn't it...
i'm not too sure about older bbags as I havent purchased one before..., even tho' i was tempted to get from ebay initially, but too much bidding just too hard to track so i gave up the idea..:nogood:
