Thanking an SA for the holidays?

There are a couple of sales associates that have been so good to me this year; one in particular. They're far away, and I was considering send them a token gift like a box of Godiva for them and their department to share in order to show my gratitude. Is that weird or being too friendly, or do you think that's appropriate?

I think it's lovely and a bit old-fashioned.

When I worked as a SA over Christmas, I was routinely harassed and had things thrown at me by irate customers.

It was my most hated job ( I was only about 18 at the time)
I would have loved to receive a small gift from a kind customer such as yourself.

I'm in agreement. A nice gesture can turn a terrible day around.
I think I nice card, and a letter to management is in order too.

Anyone who's worked in retail will appreciate. But it also depends on who's giving it and what they're giving. Nothing wrong with a little chocolates or a bottle of wine, but if you're worried - maybe give it as a gift to whole crew, instead of just one SA if you don't want it to be too personal.
