My hubby sux. Been hinting what I want. He said Noo u have too much jewellery. Been sulking depressed all morning. Didnt answer his calls. So now he is saying its a suprise. I hate them cos he has opposite taste to me. Its on the 26th. Men do not care about our jewellery. Boring!!

Ah, thats tough. I kinda know what u mean. Is it possible to gently persuade him to get you a gift card or cash gift instead?
My hubs n i had several incidents of, uh, not-so-pleasant gift surprises in our first couple of years of marriage. Now, we have an agreement NOT to surprse each other when it comes to gifts. We will instead give each other a budget so we can buy what each of us wants. Not romantic at all, but at least now both of us are happy and look forward to our birthday/Christmas gifts. It turns out that he was actually relieved when i suggested the cash/budget route, since he was apparently clueless about what i like and got stressed everytime he has to buy a gift. I know lots of women love being surprised by their men but it just didnt work for us.
So, i don't know....would both of u be open to this?

I understand where you are going from. My hubby is the same way and it takes numerous begging and convincing to get my point across (the 'whys' of having a new piece of jewelry) when I want something.
My husband hasn't picked out and bought me jewelry since our first (we're been married almost 16 years) wedding anniversary. What he picked out though, I didn't like so he's like "why bother" when you know what you want and what I pick out, you don't like. Thus, I usually pick out my own birthday presents, etc. from him. It takes the surprise and romance out of it but at least I'm getting something that I want and like. Let us know how this shakes out but you're not alone in that my husband says the same thing - that I have enough (when I don't think I do) jewelry.
