Tell me i am not alone

I am actually good at passing up great deals - unless it's something that I really need, or I know that it will work with my several items in my wardrobe. My clothing and shoe selection is actually very small now for that reason (I wear about 85% of it frequently), and I am constantly pruning items for donations, consignment, auction sites, etc. Getting to this point has taken years, however.

As for paying retail in general, I very rarely do it with bags, clothing, shoes, or anything else anymore. (The one exception: cosmetics). I am the coupon queen, and proud of it. Learning just how atrociously high retail mark-ups actually are was a very rude awakening, and I avoid them like the plague ever since. But I generally still won't buy just because it's a bargain. If you don't use and enjoy it, it's wasted money/space/time, even if it was a "good deal."
