fjord is am amazing leather: up/downside is that it is quite heavy. semi-sheen, even texture. extraordinarily durable. there isnt really too much of it around. I usually see travel pieces in it

You know I don't find it any heavier than my gulliver Bolide, or box Kellys and Dalvys. It even rivals my ostrich Bolide in heft - it's just not that heavy. Maybe in a Kelly or Birkin, yes, but not in a Bolide (imo).

Incredibly sturdy with a bend is how I'd describe the leather body characteristic.

agreed but i had a 32hac and it was really heavy...sold it b/c of that

I don't find it particularly heavy either - even in a 32 HAC. My 32 Fjord HACs aren't any heavier than 35 Clemence Birkins. It's all relative.

I had a fjord Birkin in 40cm size. Found it heavy but so durable and pliable/thick feel. I had been looking for a fjord 35cm before I bought a VL.
