Team Neverfull!! I need help!!

No way girl! Sorry to hear that! It is still beautiful and worth it though.

I know boo

Thankfully I'm not one to get too upset by things like that cause I know it's not going to stay pristine forever, but I'm just surprised it happened so quickly! No bother, because I decided to use it as my class bag for my books & paper work so no more black wallet inside lol

I almost used it as an excuse to get an LV wallet :roflmfao:

Hey ladies!!
For my first LV, I got the speedy 30 damier ebene. Now, for my second LV bag. I cant decide which color to get. Im thinking of getting the Neverfull MM. My choices are between the classic mono or the azur. Since, I have the damier ebene I do not want that color. But I'm scared about the vachetta or patina on the classic and azur to turn colors. HELP!!!!!:nogood:

Well what is your lifestyle like? What are your goals for your NF? Do you need an everyday bag year round or is this a special summery bag? They will both patina. I just got a DA and am doing my best to keep it out of sun exposure and to handle it minimally because I like a light patina. But it is not my everyday bag, on the contrary, I plan to carry it pretty minimally. Otherwise it lives in the closet in it's LV bag in an open box so the leather can breathe and no sunlight gets to the vachetta. Princess bag.....hee hee.

You could easily make a DA your main spring and summer bag if you do not mind a honey patina. To see how these bags patina, check out ebay. Some look pretty IMO but others just look kind of grimy. Just watch out for color transfer and maybe keep an organizer in it to protect the light interior and it is really a pretty tough bag.

My workhorse bag is my DE NF and if I had a Mono that is what I would use it for too. If I had a Mono I would let it get the nice honey patina and use it however I wished. So......again, check out ebay to see how the Monos patina and that will give you an idea of what things might look like.

There are going to be some special edition DAs with, I think, pink or blue trim. That could also be an option for you. Maybe someone who knows more about them can comment.

LMB stands for Lovin My Bags - www.lovinmybags.com

They are leather specialists and have formulated a kit made exclusively for LV vachetta. The kit contains a protector cream, cleanser, and conditioner with soil release. I always treat my brand new bags with the protector to repel water and oil and reapply ever few months. The cleanser is great for both vachetta and canvas and the conditioner is (for me anyway) a maintenance step. My bags don't get dirty so I rarely use the cleanser but always use the conditioner before putting away a bag that has been in rotation. I mostly condition the handles since they are touched the most. Only the cleanser can be used on canvas.

Some people feel LMB darkens the vachetta a bit but I haven't noticed this on my bags. All of them have beautiful, even patina.

What is that? Do tell! I treated my DA vachetta with Obenaufs Heavy Duty LP to water resist the leather and soften it. Does this do something different?

I would get the mono!IMO it's the most versatile canvas!Furthermore you don't have to worry about spots on vanchetta cause it will gradually turn to deep patina, which will hide everything! Finally, any canvas you choose,NF is a wonderful bag  !!!

I need an everyday type of bag for school and work. I just don't want the handles to get messed up to quick. I want a carefree type of bag.

I think with regular care, the vachetta on either bag will look fine. You may want to get the LMB stuff that was described. I think it sounds great for someone who is regularly going to carry vachetta as one of their main bags. I think I will stick with my LP that I got for my DA since it seems to have done such a nice job and since I rarely use her.

If you truly want handles that won't change, you will have to get a DE, and I know you already have one in another bag. Also there is always the possibility of the DE having the cracking issue, so it may not be trouble free, depends on your luck I guess. I have been really happy with mine so far.

For you, I think my vote would be mono, and that is only because is more of a year round bag, and it sounds like that is what you need. The DA can be worn in the winter, but because it kind of reminds one of a carefree summer picnic, you have to coordinate a little with lighter colors and matching shades of grey or blue. I cannot see carrying it all winter......it would just look weird, especially with dark browns IMO.

Let us know what you decide
