Tory Burch TB ivory bag - leather protector?

Hello all - I just bought the Marion Wallet Crossbody in New Ivory:

Should I use a leather protector on this? I worry esp now that I have a toddler that I'll ruin it the first moment I use it!

I protect all my bags, not just the light colored ones.

I like the Apple Brand and its called Garde. I think I got mine on ebay or Amazon.
