Taxi tote 24 open top??

Anyone have one? i found a delete version in a brown.. but i am worried about the open top.. i do like how it dogclips snugger but again.. it's OPEN>..

They did have some that zipped but they were the ones with the flap and siggy design.. not my fave.. i would prefer leather vs coated canvas.

I have the dogleash closure Taxi tote, but in the 28. I use it as a travel bag more than anything, but that's more to do with its size as opposed to the closure type.
I DO have a shoulder bag from another designer with a dogleash closure,and I've used it with no problems..but then again...the two bags are very different silhouettes.

Maybe you could visit the taxi tote clubhouse? You might get some info there.

Its not a problem for me at all! As a matter of fact I prefer it over the zip top version! It's so easy to toss things in and I have traveled with this bag and never had a problem. Get it!

There are three kinds of Taxi Totes- the 24, the 28 and the Zip Top styles. The 24 is smaller in size with the dogleash (28 is larger with the dogleash too). I own a tote from a couple years ago that is dogleash clasp and I really don't have a problem with it open. But I do also have a purse organizer I will sometimes use inside of it that does have a zippered top closure and it makes up for those styles. So if you feel uncomfortable with an open top, you may want to look into a purse organizer, and then you can just move that from bag to bag to make it easy.

Thank you, yes i have noticed several styles of taxi totes(just to make life confusing lol) seems the zip tops are all rather large?

I admit to not liking the purse organizers but the inside zipper pocket in it is HUGE plus i own pouches to store items, i will probably see if it's still there and have a second look.

The advantage i see to the open with dogleash is ease of in/out for errands/grocery trips.. much less fussing to get my wallet out.

I ordered the 24 before I saw it. I returned it. The dogleash closure wouldn't be a big deal if it wasn't so small. It appeared a wallet or my phone could slip out easily. I ordered a 28 and a zip-closure one to use instead.

Because these totes are the cross-grain, they are not super stiff, so the largeness of the zip top will not be noticed too much, as it won't jut out like a stiff saffiano tote would or one with more structure. I personally would get the one with the zippered top, only because that's what I'd prefer in this style and the size is good for me.

It's a good point with the material but i'd have to try it on.. i am really Petite so large bags on me are probably medium for most... lol:shame:
