tax on birkin

I like to ask you a question, if I purchase a birkin from another state, how do they charge the tax, I heard that some stores can send Rolex watch to another state to avoid tax, is this the same case for birkin?

Generally the tax is taken based on the receipient's address.
Whichever state you live in - that tax rate will be added.
The exclusion of the rule works for the states where the store does not have locations - then the tax is zero.

of course there seem to be more Hermes boutiques opening in many places (I wonder if this is the right economy...)
but you could probably just research which states don't have one, right?

CT and WA so far are tax free for H shipments. I know they are opening a store in WA, but not sure when. I think sometime in 2009.
