Hi guys
I'm thinking of changing my skincare to Tatcha & La Mer.
My skin type is combination, oily t-zone and dry cheek.
I'm thinking of mixing Tatcha & La Mer skincare.

Please help , which would you recommend:

CLEANSER
Tatcha Rice wash cleanser
or
La Mer Cleansing Foam

Toner
Tatcha Texture Tonic

or
La Mer Tonic

Serum
Glow recipe Watermelon Niacinamide Dew Drop or/and FRESH Tea Elixir Skin Resilience Activating Serum

Moisturiser
Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream

If you are already using Tatcha (moisturiser) I'd go with the complimentary cleanser and toner.

Personally, I think toner is a waster of money if you're using a rinse-off cleaner. Toner was to take of the residue of the cleanser at a time when people though that water should never touch the face (not sure how they had a shower). However, I do own one.

From experience, I also think La Mer is overrated.

I have combo skin and the la mer soft cream was such a waste of money on me. It turned me into a glistening oil slick in my t-zone and didn’t do much for my dry cheeks. I’ve been hesitant to try other la mer products because of that.

I do use Tatcha dewy skin cream now that it’s winter (I use their water cream regularly) and have great results. As I’m loyal to Shu Uemura cleansing oils, I’ve only used the tatcha face washes during vacations. I haven’t had any issues.

Not sure if you’re open to other brands, but my cousin recommended the Laneige cream skin toner & moisturizer and I love it! I pat it on my face and then apply tatcha skin cream on top.

Tatcha products are great, from the kissu lip mask to the rice polish powder. I rotate between tatcha and kiehls. Not impressed w/ La Mer, overpriced and doesn’t work.

I use both :shrugs: Tatcha rice polish and toner, La Mer OG cream, Tatcha eye cream. I think both lines are good; Tatcha's prices are much better AND they have great sales occasionally, but La Mer works magic on my skin. I agree that La Mer does not usually work well on oily skin.
Really think one needs to experiment: everyone's skin is different, and also, our skin changes due to time, weather, activities. I think both companies do small sample size packages (of course the La Mer one is outrageous) - but any La Mer counter will give you free samples with even a small purchase.
