Tassels are sort of a regular motif for David Yurman and you can usually find a few tassel necklaces on davidyurman.com .... I've gone back and forth on whether the style is for me or not. Didn't realize they'd become popular elsewhere.

Love love love tassel necklaces. I make my own, but they're much more casual -- wood/stone beads with silk thread and tassels. Etsy has a ton of them, I'd try there.

Wow. Yurman one is so close to the one I have pictured. Wonder what price of Yurman is.

I don't really get them - I don't find them offensive or horrible. To me, there are just much cooler pendants out there. A tassel doesn't mean anything to me.

I like these...looking on Etsy to find the one I want. I love the Yurman...but for $1350 plus the chain, I don't love it enough!

Love that ^ ! The one I'm pictured in gives a similar look and only costs $170. It is by "frenchkande".

Love them!! I also loved the Tiffany version with the tiny pearls, too from their Gatsby collection.

Tassel necklaces are such a large category that you could probably procure one for every occasion!

Affordability is a different beast ... but sure, you can find them from pretty much any major designer jeweler.

I suspect that someone who wouldn't wear a silver tassel necklace with jeans and a tee would definitely wear a grand diamond tassel necklace to a gala.

I think it takes confidence to pull them off as a casual everyday look, but years ago I would've said the same thing about wearing keys on a chain. Wear what you like
