Tarnished already?

Hello everyone!
For Christmas I received the Return to Tiffany heart tag with key as my first Tiffany piece. I went and exchanged it today for the longer chain. Today I have had it on for no more than 5 hours and the back looks tarnished!!
Has anyone had this and what did you do/ how do I clean it?

Is this silver? Simply polish it.

That's sterling silver, no matter what store it came from, unless it's rhodium plated. I use a polishing cloth on my silver.

Go back to your store and ask for a silver polishing cloth. Then use it to polish your piece.
