Hi! As part of my Cartier watch research, I overlooked the Tank line at first (I know, how could I, it's classic!).

I understand the Tank Solo was discontinued recently and replaced with Tank Must. Looking at the stainless steel version, I can't tell what the BIG differences are between Solo vs. Must.

Here are the differences I see - let me know if I'm missing something?
  1. Buckle on the leather strap version: Must now has a classic pin buckle
  2. Shape of stone on crown: Must is pointier but both Solo and Must use synthetic cabochon (not sapphire

The case, dial, and strap/bracelet look identical to me?

This video was helpful, but... it doesn't make me think one is better than the other:

I was recently at the boutique as I was searching for the rose gold small Tank solo on the website before the price increase but couldnt find it. My boutique managed to locate the rose gold from a nearby boutique and I tried it on and compared it with the Tank Must. Here are the comparison pictures:
Picture 1 - Tank Must (L) vs Tank Solo (S)
Picture 2 - Tank Must (S) vs Tank Must (L)
I don’t think the Tank Must comes in M. All comparison are for the ladies watch :)

Other than differences pointed out above, the Tank Must has a rounder sides vs the Tank Solo (which is flatter) and the Tank Must (S) has a slightly smaller watch face than Tank Solo (S). Hope this helps!

Not convinved here as I do not see the benefit. I mean changing the battery every 6 years (in conrast to the solarbeat @16) like with my Dumont is perfectly fine. So what?

SO helpful! Now that you mention it, I do see the rounder sides on the Tank Must. The pointier crown of the Tank Must is also quite noticeable in your pictures.

Which one are you leaning towards?

I am waiting for the Tank Must Solar Beat to come out this September! Cartier's first solar offering.
I read about this! Thought that it'd be out of my price range BUT it looks like the price of the small may be similar to the 'normal' high autonomy quartz version with 8 year battery..

RUMORED Price (Tank Must Solar Beat, SS case, non-animal leather strap): $2,480 (small), $2,610 (large), and prices may be subject to change before launch; from:https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/s...-ever-solar-powered-cartier-watch-introducing

vs.
'Normal' Tank Must $2,610 (small, but this is calfskin leather strap)
