Having ordered and returned 2 PM in noir
I have come to terms with the fact that I am finding reasons to return because I just don’t love it. I felt obligated to get the noir thinking it will wear better and be worry free as compared to Turtledove.

But i really love the lighter neutral! How has everyone’s experience with Turtledove been. Also been drawn to the speedy b 25 is this colorway more so than the PM. It just looks so elegant 💕

Turtledove is a perfect neutral. I have the PM in it and have regretted not buying the Speedy. Although I’m careful with the PM, I don’t baby it and I haven’t had any issues so far. I do have the PM in the black Empreinte as well and while it is beautiful, I totally understand your hesitation about keeping it.

Speaking solely as an observer, as I do not have first hand experience, I think turtle dove is a beautiful neutral. It can transition seamlessly throughout the seasons and can lean with warm and cool toned outfits. If you are worried about maintenance issues issues, I don’t think you need to. Empreinte is a very hardy leather. It does not scratch easily, regardless of color. I forget who it was exactly, but there is another tpf member here who has a gorgeous tote in crème, a much lighter colour than turtle dove, and she mentions that is a rather carefree bag despite the light color. So if crème is durable, I would think turtledove would last a long time as well.

I have the Montsouris in Turtledove… if you like your pieces looking pristine, I do not recommend the color. First time I wore it with jeans (2+ yr old pair), there was color transfer. I‘ve tried using leather cleaner and a conditioner that my CA suggested, and nothing. That being said, Turtledove is my favorite taupe across the luxury brands. It’s more neutral gray than warm gray.

I have the Petit Palais in Turtledove and creme and the leather is gorgeous and also durable. But I wouldn‘t wear it with jeans or other dark colors to avoid color transfer.
