This is the bag I've had my eye on, and I am wondering the same thing! Mama Beech on YouTube did a full review and mod shots. She shows it worn with the strap as small as it can go and as long as it can go. To me, it made it look less huge. Here is the video:

I also posted this on the Official Coach Spring 2021 "Coach Forever" Thread, but for anyone else who has the Ergo 33, does your strap have an area under the buckle where the strap binding stops and starts again? Here is a photo of what I'm talking about. I would think they could have put this at the bottom where those little tabs wrap around and could cover the break. The break in the binding is right below the 3rd grommet (from the top). My husband got me this from Macy's and I just wondered if all of the 33's are like this.

Yes mine has that. The vintage Coach bags also have this technique in the binding. It's how they used to do them, so they must have repeated the process for the reissue.
