Does anyone have any tips for easily removing Tiffany earrings? I got my mom and me the small bean earrings in rose gold for Christmas, and both of us are having a devil of a time taking them off. The SA said that they will loosen with time, but they are really, really difficult to take off. Thank you! This is the first Tiffany purchase for both my mother and me. Hope everyone is having a wonderful and safe holiday season!

That’s odd. I’ve never had a difficult time removing earring. What type of backing?

I know what you mean, the backs are hard to pull off. You need to make sure that you don’t tip the earring back while pulling it off. If you do, it gets stuck. I need to use both hands to take the earrings off. Hold your earring on by gently pinching your earlobe, pull the earring back off with your other hand.

Thank you so much! I'll try and then report back:-)

It depends on what the back looks like. It may be the kind that is made to stay secured in place. These have two tiny metal parts that get squeezed with your pointer finger and thumb, at the same time you pull the back out. If these two tiny parts are not first squeezed in, then it will make removing earrings very, very difficult and painful . Once you get the hang of it, it’s quite easy and you’ll appreciate knowing how secure they are when they are on your ears!

Yes, I certainly do appreciate that I never have to worry about losing them:-) Can’t wait to get the hang of them!

Okay! Took them to Tiffany’s yesterday to ask some advice. They are having someone look at them to see if the butterfly part of the earring back can be widened a bit to loosen it or if the hole in the earring back can be widened. They also offered to switch out the backs for push backs, but they seem even harder to work with. Very, very impressed with their service and options.

Oh, dear! I never gave an update! They did, indeed, widen the hole on the butterfly backs. They go on and off like a charm but are still secure. Couldn't be happier:-)
