Taking a break: to sell or to hold

Hello, all! I have been pondering taking a break from some of my bracelets (JUC and 4-diamond Love), and cannot decide if I should sell or set aside for a later date. I still love these items but am starting to find a few other pieces I would like in my regular rotation. My initial thought is to sell, but I worry I will later regret.

Has anyone else run into a similar dilemma?

Keep. You said yourself you’re not ready to sell. If you were ready you wouldn’t be second guessing.

I say hold on to them. I have a small Love that I sometimes think of getting rid of along with a Cartier watch that I have only worn a handful of times (approx. 5 times) out of over the 7 years I have had it, but I keep them.

You lose a lot of money selling. I prefer to keep them and wear them seldomly or wear them when I want a change up rather than lose money. On the other hand, I have several Tiffany items that I know for sure I no longer want to hold on to so those I sell.

Just the mere fact that you think you might regret them is sort of evidence you are still uncertain. It doesn't sound like you have outgrown them yet so you should keep them.

If you don't need the money to fund other pieces keep them for now until you are sure you don't love them anymore. Seller's regret feels really bad. Also think that with time they will only increase in price so you will probably sell for more if you wait anyways.

I agree with everyone else telling you to keep them.

More so because if you need to replace them later, it will cost you a lot more due to inevitable price increases.

I have a Tiffany Love Knots diamond collar that I bought in 1992…can’t tell you the number of times I’ve thought of selling. But then I think I’ll never be able to find/afford something similar so I’ve kept it. This year Tiffany came out with a new Love Knots collection, similar to mine. Can’t tell you how glad I am that I didn’t sell!
IMHO…keep them!

I have sold stuff I still loved but never used. No regrets. Some things are beautiful but just do not work for you. However if you are in doubt, better wait and not sell. I am having a similar situation right now, so I have to listen to all these advises too .

The items that you have in your collection are really classic items that have stood the test of time. You will loose quite a bit of value if you do sell them. If you dont need the money, and the other items you want to buy you can wait and save up, then i suggest this as the best option.
Your style will change over time, but you will come back to the classics .

I stopped wearing my love for about 3 years and put it back on recently. Would have lost a lot of money if I sold. I think you should keep them.

I say keep until you know you’ve definitely outgrown them and are moving in another direction

sellers remorse is worse than buyers remorse IMO

am starting to find a few other pieces I would like in my regular rotation.
