I couldn't find a thread directly comparing T3 vs. Sedu flatirons so hopefully I'm not duplicating a thread.

Wondering if anybody on here has tried both? and if not.. for those of you who just own one of these two (either the Sedu or the T3), can you list pros/cons and what you personally like about yours?

I'm trying to decide which flatiron to buy and have already eliminated GHD since it does not have adjustable temperature setting and my head is spinning from reading all the reviews on Folica and posts here. I went to Ulta earlier today to buy Sedu Revolution but both the SA and the stylist that I spoke to said that T3 Pro Straightener is a better option. It is also cheaper at $119 (before tax and coupon). I did end up buying Sedu which was $139 before 20% off coupon and tax since it also comes with a free mini flatiron and it is not pink but am now having second thoughts.

So - I'm hoping my helpful tPFers will come to the rescue and give me some opinions and comments!

I have the T3 wet to dry straightener and I love it. I own 3 straighteners and there is no comparison between the T3 and the other two (no clue what brands they are.) But I haven't tried a Sedu so I can't help you there.

Thanks for your feedback, chinahopes. I am sure that either of the three straighteners listed above would be better than a lower end product so I won't go wrong with either. Would you mind sharing with me why you picked T3 straightener as opposed to any of the other ones.

I've tried my friend's GHD straigher when I visited her this summer and it worked great but I don't like the fact that it lacks adjustable temperature setting and is more expensive than both Sedu and T3. I do like that it has universal voltage since I used to travel a fair bit but that might change now plus I have a travel straightener that would work in a pinch.

So far the only difference that I could identify between Sedu and T3 is the two year warranty that Sedu has.

I was going to get a Sedu because I had Sedu hair dryer that I LOVED. However, I found the T3 Wet/Dry at my Marshalls for something like $65:nuts: So that is pretty much what sold me on that one!

You got a great deal Miss Jenny . I will have to check Marshalls and T.J. Maxx just to be sure I did not miss a great deal. And after checking Instyler thread I have one more option to consider. It's like the hunt for the best, cheapest deal never ends ;(...

Where did you buy the Sedu straightener from? I purchased mine from folica.com for $120 with a 2 year warranty and also got a free mini sedu straightener at the time. I'm pretty pleased with it! I've tried hot tools? conair and chi products but this one seems to work best. It kept my hair straight for basically the whole day until I wash my hair. Good luck in your quest for THE straightener!

edit: Just read back on your original post regarding where you got your sedu straightener. I guess it depends on your hair. My hair is pretty straight to moderate wavy so it doesn't take me too long (about 5 mins) to straighten all my hair, but overall I have had my sedu straightener for about a year now and it's still working wonders for me!

I have the T3 pro straightener and i love it. It leaves it really straight and shiny with just 1 pass over the section. I got mine at Ulta after the SA recommended it over the Chi.

I have two of the t3 Bespoke flatirons and will NEVER own any others. I have the medium duality (I think its been discontinued) and the narrow duality single pass. Both straighten my uber curly hair with at most two passes. Gives shine without a product and I love that they both have super fast heatup and temperature controls.

Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. Honestly, I chose the T3 because I was watching QVC was day and they had it on, for 5 easy payments, so I decided to give it a try since they have a great return policy.

My T3 has adjustable heat settings and goes up to 450 degrees... I know some of them only go up to 400 or 410 I believe.

I had Sedu for 2-3 years. It doesn't turn on anymore, unless you fiddle with the cord at the base, and no I never wrapped the cord around it. I went and bought the Chi - because at Costco they have them for $60. Chi actually curls my hair way better. I don't miss the temp gauge because I never used it, even though I don't have thick hair - it is wavy and frizzy, so I need the heat to keep it straight. I have no experience with other irons. HTH

Wanted to update. I decided to keep Sedu iron and use it 1-2 times per week. I could not have been happier with its performance so far even though I hardly even use temperature dial, the feature that I thought would be a 'must have' for me. I've recently used it on a friend, and now she wants one, too.
