I wasn't sure of the rules on posting links to other sites.. so I'll wait until someone replies to do so. There's a listing for a Sapphire & Diamond T&Co ring on 1st Dibs- the seller is saying only TWO were ever produced. Does that seem odd or not? (maybe odd isn't right word..?) It's intriguing to me, because it combines 2 great loves of mine- sapphires & Tiffany!

Very pretty. I've actually visited this dealer. Much more Tiffany in her store than posted online. Does she have any paper from Tiffany, an updated Tiffany insurance valuation? Would she be willing to obtain one, as part of the sale? If Blue Book, a copy of the Blue Book this item may have appeared in? Is the sapphire original to the mounting? Is the sapphire heated? On what basis can she claim it's one of two?

I agree. Most of her signed pieces are premium priced.

If the ring is like the photo above, I doubt it's a true Blue Book (High Jewelry) piece. I receive the Blue Books and mixed in them are collection pieces (Victoria, Soleste). A true Blue Book piece is considered High Jewelry. Go to the Tiffany Website and look at true Blue Book collection pieces. They are very extravagant and the workmanship is amazing.

The ring above is a bit plain to me unless it is say, an Unheated 5 carat Ceylon Sapphire which then it will certainly come with papers and the owner will not lose those papers (the papers come in a nice binder). The value of the ring then is the gemstone which some gemstones Tiffany sells are gorgeous!

I'm curious too about this ring and how the seller says there are only two made but has no photos of the papers or even the hallmark of the ring.

If you are going to buy a true Blue Book piece, I would insist on the seller getting a Tiffany Appraisal (not any other cheesy appraisal). Appraisals are not expensive and any authentic seller knows it absolutely confirms and adds to the value of a branded piece.

Blue Book High Jewelry pieces are truly one of a kind (not two), so I'm curious on this ring too.

Check out the website. You can see Blue Book pieces from a few years back. I love the Tiffany Turquoise and Aquamarine necklace!

Good luck!

Yes, I thought the same thing! Blue Book stuff is extravagant right?! This ring is very modest. I know it's T&Co, without a doubt.. But I'll be honest, the price of 14K is steep... Again, if the center sapphire was larger, sure.. but it's what, 1 carat? I should post a pic..

Yes. Very small. And a 1 carat sapphire would never be a Blue Book High Jewelry piece. Blue Book One-of-Kind are in their own league. Here is a 2015 Blue Book sapphire ring....10ct I heated pink sapphire...IMG_1508420875.730714.jpg

I love the Blue Book stuff! I'm guessing that I could call T&CO and ask them how many were produced.. wonder if they'd be able to tell me?
For example: I have their bezel set Lucida, which they don't produce anymore. I honestly don't think there were THAT many made.. so just curious. I reached out to a CSR.. we'll see what they say! I could do the same with this one.

Love your ring BTW. Truly one of Tiffany's best modern creations. I wish they would do more!
Thank you! I have to say that the minute I saw it years ago I was in love. I am so lucky to have found one 2nd hand and did not pay retail! Remember the Bezet? Another more modern bezel that is no longer being made either... I guess I can understand, their niche is that classic 6 prong setting, and the bezel sets do not have that big of an audience.
The thing I am most drawn to is modern settings, clean lines... and the fact that it was created by my favorite jeweler is icing on the cake!
