Hi H Lovers! I've been working with an SA at one of the Vegas boutiques, as I travel there often and the city I live in currently doesn't have a store. He's been pretty good, able to get most items I've been searching for but it took over 1 year to get my first bag (k28 etain). He did offer me 3 other bags before this one but they were all the wrong color/size. Vegas has a LOT of VIP clients and I know that the good inventory is mostly reserved for them.

One of my best friends has been shopping with an SA at her home store in Denver and they have SO much more inventory. Her second trip in they had a vast array of K's and B's in smaller sizes and all the classic colors (noir, gold etc) of which she picked a k28 gold. One of our friends went to the same SA without any purchase history and walked out with a b25 noir!

I'm debating switching stores to my friends home boutique in Denver as the inventory is MUCH better. I'm wondering if it's worth risking the switch (I know switching SAs is a no-no) to have a better chance of getting bags/items in a more timely manner. I'm definitely hoping to get another bag this year, and have a list of items to purchase.

To complicate matters worse, a boutique is scheduled to open in my actual home town in 2021...so I would likely switch again. What would you all do?!

I've been SA-less since mine died 7 years ago. It's a weird kind of hell.

If Denver is convenient for you and you have a go-to SA, plant your roots there. If you want to just wait another year until the store near you opens, that's also great. Go forth with the reminder that there is no guarantee that the new store will have SAs whose personalities align with yours.

I still don't have a good relationship with any SA. There are purchases with which most available SAs are reasonably able and willing to assist, but nobody compares to my first SA. She offered me a SO at the age of 21. She knew me, she knew my style, and she always told me no when I needed to hear it. Those were the days...

What's your relationship like with the Vegas SA? Is Denver easier to get to than Vegas?

I still think the relationship factor with your SA is important. It makes it fun and easy and they can advocate for you to get what you want. Have you met any SAs in Denver that you clicked with?

This is just my two cents, but if you have a good relationship with the SA in Vegas, then I'd stay there until your home store opens. Vegas is used to having clients fly in. If you have already met an SA or two in Denver, and it's easier to go there, then I'd say you should switch over.

Do you know if your friend in Denver spends a similar amount/similar categories as you do? I've also heard that if you've already gotten offers, then it's easier to get more.

I would stay in Vegas until your store opens. If your SA has been able to get you everything thus far, just stick with it for the next year. You don’t know what you’re gonna get in Denver for sure. Someone else’s experience may not be your own. Plus you will never know until you do it.

What bags are on your wishlist for this year that you are worried about not being in inventory? I shop at one of the Vegas stores, and there seems to be a lot of inventory right now. With people not traveling as much at the moment, there is a lot more stuff available in general.

Yes it took you over a year to get what you want, but he did offer you four bags in the span of one year. The gesture itself Is like.... already pretty amazing tbh. It means he has you on his mind, and didn’t forget about you even when he has other VIPs with him. We all only have two chances to get quota bags every year. If you are eager to purchase more bags, then I guess at least you can try the Denver store as a walk-in first?
