Vintage for bracelets. Sweets for earrings tho. If 20s in colors were available in sweet that would be amazing.
If only my ears could handle magic but oh well.
🤗 a girl after my own heart
@EpiFanatic I wish and hope VCA releases either 16 or 20 sweets in different colors🤞🏼 It would make these long necklaces so much more wearable on a daily basis!
BTW I had the chance to see the sweet pave WG Alhambra earrings you have in person the other day and the sparkles on that beauty were unbelievable! Now I know whey you love them so much 😍
For me easy:
1) Vintage: 5 motifs, 10 motifs, 20 motifs but NOT in a single pendant. I am happy enough with my one pair of vintage WG diamond paved earrings and vintage Yellow Gold Guilloche each.
2) Magic: Single pendant or 6 motifs, Earrings (future, if I have any offer): 1 motif, 2 motifs, or even 3 motifs, and Between the Finger Ring. For some reason, i am not that fond of 16 motifs Magic (took a long time to wear/style even when i tried it on at the Boutique last year) and my SA said I wore the 11 motifs Magic like a MEDAL 🏅 so NO 11 motifs or 16 motifs for me
Unfortunately, I have no room for any sweets 🤭
Oh gosh your SA’s sense of humor had me chuckling 😂
@BabyBenV I love that you know what you want and get those pieces without any second guessing! I always drool over your earrings collection😍
Like you I would do Guilloche earrings in vintage size too! Magic would be a bit much in Guilloche!
I think all three sizes have their place, but vintage for bracelets just feels right. Magic size can be a bit much for earrings, but I get why people love the presence it brings. If they ever released a sweet 20-motif in different stones, that would be a game-changer.
@easternhair Agreed! All sizes have their place. I wasn’t a fan of magic earrings till I was and now they are my favorite size although for certain designs I still prefer vintage earrings because I feel magic would be a bit much like Guilloche earrings.
Vintage for me mostly. They are great everyday pieces and the size isn’t overwhelming for petites. Sweets only on 6 motif bracelet and 16 motif long necklace. I haven’t ventured into magic sizes yet. Love the presence on others but a bit too much on me.
@cloee The Magic size certainly takes some getting used to. Like you I love sweets on 16-motifs too!
Generally the vintage is the perfect size motif for me in most iterations, though I have a soft spot for the 6-motif sweet bracelet for a more understated look, and for stacking with other pieces.
I'd love a Sweet Alhambra earring if they made it into an ear clip, just so that I wouldn't be disowned by the familial units, but hey ho...
I only like the Magic pendant in the smaller size (i.e. the ones used in the Ginza Edition pendant), not the bigger one. My personal view (please don't hate me) of the standard Magic pendant is that the proportions are a bit off i.e. it feels a little like its been spread out too much, like a pancake? (might just be the Ramadan fasting brain talking there...)
Goodness me, you had me chuckling at the pancake bit😆😆
@Prada Prince but I get it! My fave way to wear magic pendant is to shorten it otherwise worn long the motif used to bang against the table and everything else 🤦🏻♀️
Would you consider doing vintage earrings instead? I think they can work without ear piercings.
I love your 6-motifs RG hammered bracelet! I would have got that if my vintage 5-motif hadn’t miraculously showed up!
I love this thread! I wear mostly vintage. I like all three. I am patiently waiting for the sweet 16 in yellow gold and I'm sure it will be in rotation frequently. I wear my sweet 6 motifs in yellow gold alot too with my other vintage alhambra bracelets. I love the mix!
Thank you
@lisawhit ♥️
I was almost going to post this question in my ‘tips to curate’ thread but remembered what you wrote last time that these questions can be a separate thread in themselves. Your voice was in my head 😂 so have to thank you for this thread.
I can’t wait to see your beautiful 16-motif in YG. VCA should honestly make that pieces available in all 3 metals without markup! I feel like it’s one of those quintessential piece that every VCA lover needs.
