Sweet Alhambra: MOP vs Hammered Gold

I'm planning to get my 3rd VCA piece. I currently have a grey MOP and mini Friovle pave diamond. I'm deciding between the sweet alhambra white MOP and hammered gold YG/RG and can't decide.

For hammered gold, I didn't used to like the look of it but somehow it has grew on me recently, I never owned any hammered gold pieces and want to know if they get dirty easily? I'm looking for something to wear everyday

For the white MOP, I was thinking of getting it because it's such a classic, but because I already have the grey MOP vintage alhambra I wonder if I'm duplicating my collection

If anyone owns both sweet alhambra MOP and hammered gold, I would like to hear your thoughts of owning both pieces. Thank you!

Hi you are talking about necklaces right ? The YG hammered only exist in VA and not in sweet size …. Or I am sure the could do it but it is SO and there is a prespend and even so now they closed the SO orders. So it stays the sweet MOP or RG hammered. I have many hammered pieces and cannot more emphasize you to choose hammered. In 30 years will still be the same or almost. I have GMOP bracelet and it lost already his luster and looks at some places dull so I won’t advise for that. And you already have one in GMOP so I really think hammered is a good choice. Why not VA instead of sweet ? Would look nice a stack of VA and sweet ❤️

The hammered is super durable and does not require any special care the way MOP does (ie you do not need to be careful or lotion or perfume or getting it wet when wearing it.) Hammered is very carefree and easy to take care of.

I personally love the look of MOP and enjoy my vintage pendant and bracelet, though. If you do not mind being a bit more gentle with it, it is a classic for a reason.

Both are great in their own way.

I think it depends on your skin tone. Rose gold tends to blend into mine, so something as small as the Sweet Alhambra doesn’t stand out on me. On the other hand, mother-of-pearl really pops and brightens my face, even in the Sweet size.
