I just purchased a gently used Swagger 27 in Oxblood, gold hardware. It's beautiful, and I have no reason to doubt its authenticity (I did buy it off Ebay, but everything about it looks just right, and it came with the department store price tag with the "proof of purchase" barcode on the back, but partially removed. I think it's from Macy's or Dillard's).

Anyway, I just noticed that the coach logo plate on the front is upside down so that the horse and carriage are facing up, not down. Has anyone seen this before, on this bag or another bag, and is it possible to get it fixed? I don't know if they'll give me a hard time if I take it to a store since it seems to be a department store bag and I don't have an original receipt.

I have 6 swaggers and all seem to have little screws on the back of the hardware. Depending on the years made, some have leather on the back of the plate, and some just metal. Can you just unscrew and fix the orientation?

Edited: did you post in the authenticate thread to be sure it's authentic? I know there were some scary good swagger fakes being made at one point.

Thank you for the reply! I checked the screws but it seems like they're lacquered in place, and I don't want to crack the finish with a screwdriver accidentally... I may try harder later as a last resort.
I'll go ahead and ask for authentication on this since you suggested it. Thanks!

Ah yes, just tried on one of mine. They may have put a touch of glue on them when they secured. Better left to the professionals.
Coach does warranty their bags for a year so just bring in and tell them it was a gift. It should not matter where purchased.

Good luck.

This was really helpful to know, too- thanks! I'm glad it's the same situation on your bags. I'll take to Coach and hope for the best! :)

How do they know it's within the 1 year?
