I thought we could put down our thoughts about how we deal with, avoid, or give into our cravings... and maybe how we find that 5 seconds of self control (I know it's in there!)
I'll go first...
The last 2 days I have been having a major chocolate sweet tooth attach after lunch. It doesn't help that I have been reading through the Candy and Nutella threads in here!
Yesterday, I had money in my hand and was about to go get something (maybe Reeses PB cups) and then decided to try and eat my granny smith apple and a cup of tea. I promised myself if that didn't work that I would go get the chocolate. Sure enough the apple and tea was enough to distract me for 30 mins or so... and by then the craving wasn't so important.
Same thing happened again today (darn Chocolate fairy calling me!)... today I fixed it by eating two oranges... something calming about peeling them and pulling the wedges apart!! Plus.. wowie I feel full now! I'm normally not this strong willed, but I think the rain is helping since I would have to walk in the rain to go get something sweet.
How about you?
