What is your favorite pair and does anyone have modeling pics to share? I am finally ready to buy high end sunglasses. Anything specific I should be looking for when I buy them? I think polarized is important but that is all I know.

I always thought I wanted Channel ones but went to the store and did not love them. Then, I saw someone on this board that bought four of them and they really caught my attention.

I also could be persuaded to look at another brand, if anyone has suggestions, I am open to them...

Tiffany & Co. sunglasses are mid-range sunglasses of high quality.

If you are looking for high end sunglasses, my suggestion would be to look at Cartier.

As far as Tiffany & Co. sunglasses go, you really can not go wrong with a pair that looks similar to the Oliver Goldsmith's Manhattans that Audrey Hepburn wore in Breakfast At Tiffany's. There is also the traditional pair of tortoise shell sunglasses, although I am happy to say they are cruelty free and made from acetate.

For me, it is all about how well the glasses fit. If the fit is imperfect, you will not wear them and they will not protect your eyes. This is one of those things you buy where function and comfort come before style.

Never thought about Cartier, I will check them out.

I never heard of the Gold-Wood and they look beautiful!

So excited to have options!

There are many lesser known brands out there! Loro Piana also has the "my sunglasses" collection which have some of the best made lenses existing today.

Have you also considered Chanel or Dolce & Gabbana as well? They have many offerings in your stated range that you may also consider.

I always thought I wanted Chanel with the classic oversized black frames with black lenses. I went to the store and did not see the image I had in my mind. Maybe I was dreaming of this style...

My apologies, I meant to say Valentino, not Chanel, since you already mentioned them. They have some nice oversized black sunglasses in different styles. I am posting in both the Chanel bag and make-up sections and I got my threads crossed by mistake.

After spending too much time looking online at sunglasses, I narrowed it
Tom Ford Whitney's:

Prada Square Baroque's:
http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/prada-baroque-54mm-sunglasses/3328948

I still like many of the Tiffany ones but they look like OOS online.
If avail in store or at sunglass hut: http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Ite...+5533+9&search=0&origin=browse&searchkeyword=

Any suggestions based upon the above? I think I need to go to the mall and try some pairs on, as well.

I am partial to those Prada sunglasses but would need to see how they fit to be sure.

The Tiffany & Co. sunglasses are beautiful and if you add another $100 to your budget, you could get two pairs and open up your options even more. They are great daily wear and look chic on their own or paired with a silk scarf.

Do you plan on wearing your sunglasses when you swim? You might want to consider which ones coordinate best with your swimwear.

And the winners are:
Ray bans-aviators
Dior-classic black oversized ones

I thought I would love the Tiffany ones and the price was great ($100 at sunglass hut) but didn't. They only had one version to choose from. I will post picks.

I want to get the Prada ones next.

I felt like I looked like a alien w the TF Whitney and I amine that does like big sunnies.

I even bought Ray Bans for the whole family. I had a 20 percent off coupon And they were $55 at Off Fifth except the polarized ones were $66.

I will post pics soon.

Here are the Tiffany (which I did not buy), Prada (planning to buy next) and Dior (which I love the oversized classic black look:
