Sullivan Hobo Questions

Not a department store exclusive. I saw it at FP a few days ago. They were keeping them in the back until Friday. I tried it on. I didn't try on a Madison hobo at the same time so I don't know how they compare. It looks like the Madison has already been deleted.

The Sullivan may stick out further from your body. It has a flat bottom, rather than the gusseted bottom of the Madison. The leather is that heavier pebbled stuff like the Legacy pebbled drawstring. I don't know how I feel about the handle, but I love the built in slouch. It seems about the same size as the Legacy duffle.

Glad to know they're in the boutiques, too, or will be tomorrow. I'm really hoping for some other colors.

I just bought the sullivan in camel. I like the zippered pocket on the back of the bag, to drop keys into. The Madison doesn't have that. Whateve described the differences good, the Sullivan does stand up better. I would say the madison shoulder strap is a little more comfortable though.

I would also say that the madison hobo seems like a dressier bag to me due to the leather and hardware where the Sullivan seems more casual. Depends on what type of bag you need. I do like the outside zip pocket on the Sullivan for my keys and phone. I think they are both great bags and you can't go wrong either way! I'm hoping the madison hobos will show up in the outlets since it appears they may have been deleted.

Just saw the collection in the FP store. So gorgeous. The black was very, very elegant and so was the burnt Carmel. Loved the white with blue edge paint and also the mandarin. This is a big I would love to own, not sure which color.

Was the mandarin really bright? I loved the white with blue, but I'm afraid of that much white.

When wearing the bag on your shoulder or crossbody, is it hard to get into it with just one hand?

I saw it at Macy's today and with the zipper off to one side a bit, it seemed more closed off than a Madison hobo or a duffle.

I tend to leave my bags unzipped most of the time and this bag actually seems to have a larger opening than my duffle when unzipped due to the flap. I can comfortably stick my hand down in it on my shoulder and definitely easy to access crossbody. The flap is nice too when unzipped because it can cover the top of the bag without having to be zipped. If you tend to zip each time you use it, then I would say it might be a little more difficult due to the zipper being under the flap.

The Mandarin is really, really bright, and it's a true orange. With the thick, pillowy pebbled leather the color is super saturated. There was a pink too...Pink Ruby maybe? Just as bright. The bag itself feels really nice...substantial. I love me a slouchy, soft shoulder bag, but I'm not sure about that rolled single handle, and the flap over the zipper seems like it might be a pain. Jury's still out for me.

Yeah, I'm not sure about the handle either. I don't want a super bright bag, but I like the idea that the colors are super saturated. Sometimes pebbled leather can look a little dull. I'm tending towards smaller bags lately, so I don't know. I think I might get the mini Preston in the white/blue. I'd possibly like the small Georgie but I'm not thrilled about any of the colors. I might get the hobo later especially if they come out with a color I can't live without. I really don't understand what's up with that handle. If it was a normal handle, I'd be fine with it.
