Suggestions on re-stringing beads???

I have a necklace I would like to have restrung. Currently it runs on a single string, and I'm worried if it were to break then all the beads would come off and be lost. I think it would be best to re-string them so that they are individually knotted. I just don't know where to ask, and also if someone could give me an idea of the cost of such a thing, I would really appreciate it !

I asked her if she would do 'fake' pearls and she said yes, so I'll bet she would do beads for you...

Thanks so much for the replies! The beads are sapphires- that's why I've been so cautious about wearing it and being worried about what would happen if it broke - I might not try etsy, but I will check out the first link.. Thanks everyone

Check to see if you have a local bead store in your area. They may be able to restring your necklace. My favorite bead store restrung beads for area jewelers.

I was going to suggest a local beading store too. They restrung my pearl bracelet for $27, with the knot in between each pearl. The charge was by the inches. I think it was roughly $4 per inch + a little extra to reattach the clasp.

I think most jewelry stores that sell pearls would be able to restring it for you. I used to work at a jewelry store and I think we charged around $100 to restring pearls (or any beads).
