I have a necklace I would like to have restrung. Currently it runs on a single string, and I'm worried if it were to break then all the beads would come off and be lost. I think it would be best to re-string them so that they are individually knotted. I just don't know where to ask, and also if someone could give me an idea of the cost of such a thing, I would really appreciate it :smile1:!

Thanks so much for the replies! The beads are sapphires- that's why I've been so cautious about wearing it and being worried about what would happen if it broke :smile1:- I might not try etsy, but I will check out the first link.. Thanks everyone :)

I was going to suggest a local beading store too. They restrung my pearl bracelet for $27, with the knot in between each pearl. The charge was by the inches. I think it was roughly $4 per inch + a little extra to reattach the clasp.

I think most jewelry stores that sell pearls would be able to restring it for you. I used to work at a jewelry store and I think we charged around $100 to restring pearls (or any beads).
