Hi, I'm thinking about buying a fabric rather than leather bag - loads on nice deals on ebay. However, quite a few of the bags I see online are from older collections so I'm wondering how to style such bags in 2018 without looking dated. Any of you using fabric bags? What outfits do you pair it with? I'm struggling to find ideas on google image search

I completely agree with the above post. Although, for some women, a logo bag is like a *neutral*, so they will carry it, and carry it off with whatever they are wearing. If you think it may be competing or clashing with what you have on, save the logo bag for when you are wearing something less busy, or more basic. Follow your insincts.
I am not drawn to logos and outright branding in general (my love of vintage Coach leather bags, Exhibit A) but I am drawn to a few jacquard Coach bags and will consider buying them when I see them at the right price. Good luck!

I still see the older bags around and I think you can wear them really with anything you want! But if you're looking for some tips, I would say it's a good idea to keep your outfit either very classic or very modern. If the clothing feels like it could have come from the same time period when the fabric bags were most popular, it might make the whole look seem dated.

The one fabric bag I have kept over the years is a big semi-structured hobo style MFF bag that is a monochromatic signature print in a sort of rich raspberry color. Like a lot of folks I got sick of the siggy bags but I still like this one because the color is a bit unusual and the raspberry on raspberry sort of reads as all one color. I think the signature bags that don't have the stark color contrast (example black c logo against grey) are easier to pair with 2018 looks. The high contrast c patterns are what look dated to me.
