Does the brand name mean a lot to you? If not then I would go with Brian Gavin or Whiteflash. You can get bigger diamonds with a trade in policy in case you decide that you want bigger diamonds in the future! I bought my studs from Brain Gavin and am very happy with the earrings. They also give you much more in depth data, such as a Sarin report, on the stones you purchased and for almost 10,000$ I think you deserve to know more about your stones.

What other data? Sorry I really don't know much about diamonds. I paid 9600

Crown Angle, Pavilion Angle, etc.

Blue Nile is not your only other option though, as the above poster mentioned. Other online options provide you with images of your actual stones and for your budget I think you can do quite well.

If you are happy with them for what you paid, that's fine. If the brand is important to you, also fine. But if it's not, there are other options.

Tiffanys or similar brand will always hold more resale value than a non-brand assuming there is always a market for it, but either way, you're not going to get a huge ROI unless you find someone willing and interested enough to pay your price. It is highly unlikely that you would make back exactly what you paid or even close. Brand or not, secondhand bling isn't a huge recoup of costs unless the piece is of special provenance.

Diamonds and jewelry are a horrible "investment". They depreciate faster on the market than a car. To you theyre worth what you paid and then some. To anyone else, they're worth far less.

Congrats on your new earrings! I would love to see a pic :D

I think non branded jewellery has a horrible re sale value, branded jewellery I have always managed to sell for either the retail value when I bought it or slightly higher- this is names like Cartier, VCA, Tiffany. just my experience but if you're thinking in terms of resale value designer brands will sell for a lot more.
