Stuck with a superfake... what would you do with it?

I recently purchased a Givenchy bag that I had authenticated and turned out to be a superfake :annoyed:
I've begun the chargeback process with my CC company but in a counterfeit situation you aren't obligated to return the item to the merchant. So most likely when it's all sorted and I'll hopefully have my money back I'll also still have Fakey McFakerson chilling in my closet and I'm wondering what to do with it.

Donating or selling it clearly stating it's a replica (is that even legal though?) could be problematic because it will still have potential to dupe other unsuspecting buyers down the line, carrying it anyway doesn't sit that well with me either, destroying something somebody else could find useful seems excessive, so I really don't know.

I'd love to hear what you would do!

Buying and carrying a fake is illegal in my country. No way would I give it to anyone or sell it.
If there is a leather artisan in your area, why not ask him/her to use the leather and make something out of it?
A wallet, a passport cover, a bag charm etc..?
Wow, I hadn't thought of repurposing the leather! I'll look into that! I knew you guys would have great ideas!

Just to make it clear - in some countries people are absolutely unaware of brands and stuff in general, so by saying 'give to someone who will use is it as a plain handbag' i meant nothing else but utilitarian purpose of the item.
Going back home i know people hardly can identify obvious LV or Chanel branding and 99% of them will never tell the fake from a legit one, thus no any intention to violate the law and abuse any rights...
Tons of my stuff go back home to far relatives, who live in far less comfortable conditions and they just thankfully accept my clothes and other things we no longer use, so my first thought was - if it was me - i'd just give to someone who is in need and will just use it. without any ref to brands or intention of further re-sell....

I absolutely understood what you meant, and it's important to me not to be wasteful while at the same time not perpetuating the cycle of fraud. Giving it to someone who would just use it as a generic handbag with a meaningless label would decrease the risk of scamming someone else down the line. As would modifying the inside label and not including the care card, leather swatch and dust bag so should it fall into the hands of someone trying to resell it they'd have a much harder time.

Some people just don't have any idea of the brand, they don't even know about re-sale market and amounts mentioned.

Is it possible to remove the logo or any brand identity so that it can't be mistaken for a name brand? Then give it to someone in need? I agree about it being hard to destroy an item someone would be very appreciative for.

I, too, vote for repurposing the leather or scraping off the metal logo on the leather and cut the inside tags if it is used as a bag for donation. If those parts are not attached, it would just be an inspired bag. Also if possible, scratching the metal parts engraved logo, too.
