Hello!!! I bought SW classic 5050s in suede and I am unsure about sizing.

I am usually a 6.5 - 7 in most brands. In SW, the size 6 was good in toes but there was a LOT of heel slippage. So I got a 5.5. There is no heel slippage and the toes are still fine, just not as much room. The SA said they will stretch a little at pressure points.

Does anyone have any advice? What has your experience been?

Hmm, sorry if this is a bit of a dumb question, but heel slippage as in your heel is slipping up and down as you walk or sort of forwards and backwards as you walk?

I have the OTK SW in suede, they have a block heel, about 2-2.5 inches. I may have some slight slippage forwards and backwards but that's because I like to wear tights with my boots, so they're much thinner and smoother than socks and will slip a tad bit, but not enough to cause discomfort or issues when walking.

Hmm, I'm assuming the 5050s you got are the ones that are flat, aka, don't have a heel?
Tbh I'm not sure. If there was a heel, general, the angle of the foot and gravity will push the foot down and help it stay more in place.

It is suede, one of the more flexible/soft leathers, so yes, like your SA said, it will stretch a bit.
However, the degree of stretch will depend. Also, how the shoe feels for you, after it has stretched, depends on your definition of comfort and tolerance to discomfort or pain.

You could try wearing thicker socks or getting insoles to help fill in the gap. If you foot slides up, then there must be some vertical space that could be filled in.
But, if your foot is slipping up and literally out of the boot as you walk, then it may not work out for you.
