Hi! I received the Montaigne Avenue bag as a birthday gift and I absolutely love it but found the strap to be a bit short. The current strap cannot be removed easily or unless I use pliers very carefully. So I was planning to buy the Dior guitar adjustable shoulder strap in blue so I can use this one instead. So my questions are: have anyone removed a non-removable strap to put the guitar strap? Or what other alternatives I have? I checked Etsy but couldn’t find a dark blue leather strap to buy and use. Any other ideas? Thanks!9DAC7284-ACA4-402C-A246-EA54CF3EB2C2.jpeg

Do not remove the strap! Let it dangle down when you clip a detachable strap on the D-rings. The chain is really pretty and it would be a shame if it was removed and damaged in the process.

The chain is attached to a leather strap so is not just only the chain, otherwise I will just let it hang and add another strap. I think it may look too long just letting it hang, but I haven’t tried it yet hence that’s why I thought about the option of adding an extender to the blue strap that’s already there.

Oops forgot there was a leather portion. That would be too long to dangle. A strap extender would do the trick.
