Strap Length on Town Varies?

Hi - has anyone else noticed the newer Town strap to be significantly shorter than the older straps? Or is it just a fluke with one bag (mauve)?

The Black is 2012 1 and the Mauve is 2013 1. The Black one seems like most of the Towns I've tried on over the years (aka very long). The Mauve is much shorter (which I prefer), but the one I really want to keep is the Black! Both are the adjustable straps set to the same hole.

well this is good news! I love the proportions of the Town but the strap was way too long....what is the shortest length of the mauve, it looks wearable as a shoulder bag now?

Indeed, sadly the town strap has shortened and is way too short now for taller girls like moi.
Why can't Bal just make a perfect adjustable strap that suits everyone....
The SA told me that Bal is concentrating more on the Far East market as the highest demand is there, catering for more petite girls, which was also the main reason they made the mini city.
