I am thinking of getting a strap for my Roxy so I cam wear it al la Alexa Chung.

Any ideas/suggestions where I might get one from, have had a look on eBay but no luck

i use my shoulder strap off of my rosemary, i know mulberry will not sell you one, as they say that the roxy isnt made to be used that way !
a few of the ladies use rosemry straps or guitar straps.

One of the ladies recommended a ' Hippy ' camera strap that she bought on ebay - I had one arrive yesterday. Will be trying it out later today.

I've just looked at those straps, they look really nice.
What colour did you go for and for which colour bag?
Might be better to use one of those rather than keep taking the straps off my Rosemary's.
Please let us know what you think of it .with a photo if poss.
Thanks
Sue

Hi

This is the one I went for - for my black Roxy .

I am a casual jeans and cheesecloth type dresser so will suit my style but I am not sure that I want a long strap after all ! What I really want is the straps on the bag to be just a little bit longer... Will take a photo later and keep you posted.

Hi
I suppose thats where the Rosemary strap is ideal because it can be adjusted, and they are the same leather as the roxy.
i know what you mean if the roxy handles were just 4 or 5 ins longer they would be ideal !!

I did email Mulberry but say its not supposed to be worn that way! I sold my Rosemary a while back because it was just not quite big enough and jeez am I kicking myself now!

Thanks for you help ladies - really appreciate it! Will post some modelling pics when I get the right strap!

Have decided that I dont like it after all - the strap itself is fine - but I just don't think it is right with the bag - leather would be much better...a Rosemary strap !!!

I love the blue strap alexa added to her oak roxy!

I hope you manage to find a funky one from a guitar shop. I think minimouse posted modelling pics of her carrying her roxanne with the rosemary strap and that worked well too!

A Rosemary strap is definitely the best solution (see pic in my thread below).

However, there are some guitar straps that work well too. I really wish Mulberry would sell optional straps for Mulberry bags, not necessarily for any particular bag (since they don't agree with straps for Roxy bags).

Ha Sugarspice, we posted at the same time. Please please please fix your link to the blue strap, I'd love to see it.

heheh yes we did mini!

I know, mulberry really should give us the option of varying straps on our bags and we can make them look funkier and unique in a way. I recently added a long strap to my Oak Effie and it looks sooo cute as a messenger bag! And the strap has matched the mulberry oak leather so well that it looks like it was made for it!

Heres a link to the seller, there are loads of different lengths/options to choose from in oak/black/choc. This one is perfect for the Effie:
