Story boots - regular or short version?

Hello everyone,
I am visiting my boutique in the next month. I live far away, so I usually make a wishlist for my SA with things I’m strongly interested in buying. Among others, Story boots are something I’d like to get. I’m just torn whether I should get the regular ones or shorter ones. I’m 5’4, thin ankles, more muscular cal…. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Definitely try both on and see which one fits better. The ankle length ones are very flattering and I think they are more versatile as you can wear them with jeans and trousers as well as skirts. I am a bit taller than you (5’7) but have similar legs, shapely ankles but quite muscular calves and I find some tall Hermes boots really tight at the top

Thank you! I own a pair of their ankle boots and absolutely love them. I agree - they go well with everything.
I guess the tall Story boots come in two different lengths, and that’s why I’m so confused I’ll try to measure my calf and go by that I think

There isn’t, I was just me being a bit stupid as I didn’t realise the Story came in two shaft lengths so I assumed the short version must be the ankle boots. I checked and the ankle boots are called Saint Germain - shows how much I pay attention
