Where do I start! From the beginning......

I purchased a pair of Jimmy Choo Baxen's in nude size 2.5 (35) online, and when they arrived a drooled....but felt they were just a little tight so decided to exchange for size 36. Did not get round to taking to the store, so they remained in the boot (trunk) of my car. I week passed, and I remembered that I needed to take to the store, so asked my son to fetch my shoes from the boot. He returned nodding his head and saying, sorry mum they are not in there. I quickly brushed him to one side and ran over to my car.....OMG they were gone! I ran around the house like a headless chicken, nothing.......I sat and reviewed my movements that week for some time. Then decided to review the CCTV footage. Low and behold at 02.30am on the Friday night, some low life walked over to my car, saw that I had left it open, proceeded to go through my car, and then the boot. He quietly and slowly removed my shoes, closed the boot very slowly and then walked up the road! I sat up in horror and screamed the house down. OMG he took them, he stole them I shouted.

This story could go on for a very long time, but I won't bore you with the details, to cut a long story short, I found my stolen shoes on ebay! Informed the police whom advised they were unable to do anything, due to data protection. I managed to track the seller down, posed a buyer and stole my shoes back! I informed the police what I had done. But once again, they seemed uninterested. Moral of story is don't leave valuables it your car! An opportunist can be a heartbeat away

I am now reunited with my beloved Baxens

I called Jimmy Choo, whom said they had only sold one pair of 2.5 baxens, which were to me, In the UK

I messaged the seller (thief) through eBay, arranged to meet. Grabbed the shoes, and told him that if they were his shoes, I would meet him at the police station (he declined). In the eBay add, it also showed a partial part of my receipt.

I don't know if it was brave or stupid of me, I just remember feeling livid that they had been stolen. I just wanted them back. Love them so much

Well I'm really glad you got your shoes back. I really am but who knows what kind of mental state that person is in and you could have gotten hurt. I'm so glad you didn't. It's unfortunate that the police wouldn't help you and you felt you had to take matters into your own hands. Enjoy your beautiful shoes.

Fact of the matter is, I felt violated that the person has stolen them, and watching it on CCTV just made it that much more personal. Yes shoes are material and replaceable, in hindsight I would have done things differently.
