I won an auction 2 weeks ago. The seller has pretty good feedback (100% from 192 responses). The day after I paid the seller printed a shipping label from Paypal. The item was to ship via priority mail.

The label was printed 2 weeks ago and I still haven't received the item. According to USPS it should only take 2 days. I looked up the tracking # at USPS site and it doesn't even say it has been received by them. I know from selling that the delivery confirmation usually reports the aceptance by the post office and the delivery.

About 48 hours ago I e-mailed asking the seller when they mailed it because I was concerned. I still haven't received a response from the seller.

What should I do? I was thinking of sending another e-mail in a day or two and wait one more week from today for either the item to show up or a response from the seller before I file a PayPal claim. Does this seem reasonable?

It was a holiday weekend, so your seller may have been away. I'd say that if you don't hear from her by tomorrow, file a non received complaint.

Sometimes delivery confirmation can be tricky. If she took it to the post office and didn't have it scanned, it will not show up in their system. This also happens if you use one of the self serve machine.

You may also want to go to your post office and give them the tracking number so they can look for it on their end.

Sorry to hear this...
USPS Priority does not have update until the item is delievered. But it should at least say "Electronic Shipping information received" or something. As long as the tracking is not "not found" on the USPS website, you should wait a little bit longer for the seller's response. Check with your local post office as well. You should definitely send another email to seller to ask him/her when they shipped it out. They should at least reply and let you know that. If they do not reply, you should open an "DISPUTE" with Paypal so they will take this seriously. Wait another week or so and if the item is still not here turn the dispute into a CLAIM.

I am actually going through the same thing. My item was shipped out on Jan 22nd from Canada via Express mail and it still is not here yet. The tracking number does not even show up on the USPS website. But the seller was really nice and is working with Canada post to find out what happened.
Even though the seller has been very cooperative and is as fraustrated as me because it never happened to him before, I still opened an claim with Paypal after waiting for 4 weeks. It is just another way to insure I get my money back if the package is lost or missing. You can always cancel the claim when the package turn up. But you only have 45 days to file a claim with Paypal. Protect yourself first.

Hope this helps~!! Good Luck on your package.

Printing a label doesn't mean the package was ever sent. If the seller's feedback is good I would send another e-mail asking when the package was sent. If they don't answer you I would file a claim with Paypal. Unfortunately there are a lot of scammers on eBay ruining it for everyone.

I sent out an item 3 1/2 weeks ago, priority mail. The buyer wanted it for the weekend but paid via echeck so I waited til that monday when her echeck cleared and sent the item out. She didn't receive it for another two weeks! Got me really nervous, but thank goodness it arrived. Maybe give it a little more time? I kept in touch with the buyer, answered all of her emails. I was willing to refund her, and she said if the item arrived she'd give me the money back. (She seemed genuine, but then again, who knows...). Anyway, things wound up working out in the end, however I never believe them at the post office when they tell me shipping priority will have the item at its destination in 2-4 days.

I do wonder where it wound up during those 2 weeks though...haha...
