Does the 17996 version of the Stewardess now feature a cross-body strap or is the description on the Coach website incorrect? Also, I just received the 9525 in BT and unlike the photos shown on the Coach website, the "floor" of my bag has finished leather. Is this a change they made? I can wear the 9525 cross-body but only on the last hole- and I would love it to drop 1-2" more as I prefer to wear my cross-body bags kind of low. BTW- I also ordered a City bag- love the design but the bag I received had paper thin leather and the flap doesn't lay correctly- needless to say the City is going back but I do like the Stewardess. Thanks for any info anyone can provide!

There are threads somewhere on the forum that compare the two styles. I think the 17996 version might have thin leather like the city bag. If you like the leather on this one, I think you should keep it. Sometimes they will make this style with a leather piece glued to the bottom. It covers up the prongs from the feet. You might be able to find a matching replacement strap if you'd like a longer strap.
