Selling stuff you no longer use is a great way cushion your fund. Another little tip that i've been doing (i'm saving for a love bracelet too!!) is saving all of my coins and every time I get a $5 dollar bill I put it away. It takes time but i've already saved $1000 since April in five dollar bills alone.
Asking for money as gift items is also a great way to help.
