I’d try a different cw if you love the design. although the taupe seems to be the most popular one, I find this shade very tricky... the run isn’t great too.. :oh:

Also - is it just me or is the cashmere/silks thinner this season, or are the ones from the men’s collection supposed to be different? Am I imagining it’s thinner bc there’s less of it due to the size? :confused1:

Sorry for the rant - which alternative do I go with?
1. Just return it; the cashmere/silk is decidedly thinner this season.
2. Exchange it for a new one (same cw)
3. Exchange it for a new one (different cw)

I wonder if they're using unsold scarves from past seasons to make these. If yes, then OK I do applaud this as a sustainability initiative. But if not, then OMG why bother? Does anyone want a past season scarf that they haven't bought when they had the chance with two random dogs stitched on it?

I believe they will do anything rather than lower the price, but in that case why not do a dip-dye?

But the bug bit me again. I fell last week right by our house taking a walk and fractured my right foot in 3 places and am in.a tall boot miserable and uncomfortable but luckily per the ortho will not need surgery. My DH thought i needed something to cheer me up and looked on the H website and send me a link to the La Marche du Zambeze scarf to see if I wanted him to by it for me, He thought it was a beautiful pattern and and liked the collaboration with the Ardmore Collection in Africa.

So I went online and went a little crazy and ordered the La Marche du Zambeze but snuck back on and ordered 3 more scarves. They all should be arriving next week. I saw the La Marche du Zambeze in the wash today and may exchange the one I ordered for that one. I will need to see how they look when they arrive to decide if I will keep them all.

It's been great trying to look through all the posts. Hard to keep up with them all but nice to be back here. Sorry if too much info! (TMI). Have a good weekend!

@hannahsophia and @Pirula - thank you for the honest opinions! Those grey/beige/taupe shades are tricky for me at the best of times.

I’m sure you can find a cw that suits you better. And not defective wouldn’t be too much to ask.

I actually really like how this CW looks! But it would probably bother me so I’d exchange it for one with no issues...so sorry to hear that you keep having issues with scarves :(

I’m not tall, around 5’6 (I think? 167cm), but since I’ve been thinking about it all day today since posting, I guess I like csgm:s more than I realized!
The green (cw 6) and the marine (cw 13) punk horses are still tempting though:sad:

I would return or exchange it just because of the pulls. At that price, especially from Hermes, a brand new shawl should be in perfect condition.
